rays of sunshine

There is something about summer that just makes everything more..alive. I don't know what to call it, it's just everything is blooming and showing their beauty to the fullest. It really is amazing!

Lately I've been editing..like crazy. I'm getting through it, although it's only my first edit I'm working at it. After I finish that, I'll probably send it to some friends so they can critique (and encourage!) my novella. ;) I found this website: lulu.com and it looks super amazing! Just if you want to get a few copies of your finished story, but don't want to publish it you can spend a few dollars and get a copy to hold in your hands!

The weather has been really nice, although yesterday it dropped from the 80s to the 50s. :P The lilacs have bloomed as have many other flowers, and our apple trees have many buds! Hopefully that means lots of apples! :)

What is your favorite part about spring?
Do you have any apple trees?

  1. Beautiful pictures! I don't think we have any apple trees ( my family plants things all the time but none of it ever grows, lol ).
My favorite part about spring is the breeze. <3

    1. Thanks, Jordy! haha, we have about..two or three-bigger ones. They're apples are finally good enough that we can eat and make into pies. ;) We also have a peach tree, and grapes, raspberries and blackcaps among other things. ;)
Oh I agree! And just the refreshing smell it brings! :)

  5. Beautiful photos! The weather has been amazing here too! Although yesterday it was high of 60, which was pretty cold :) UGH....EDITING. I've started editing a book that I finished last year, and even though it's fun for the first few pages, it then turns into just plain down work. ugh. I really don't have anyone I'd send it to to critique it though :( That website looks AMAZZZZZZIING. Like really, less that 20 bucks for a hardcover of your very own book??? CRAZY. Hopefully it's not a scam ^-^

Oh yes! I know, I'm SO going to do it! I don't think so, because a friend of mine did it and it was fine! :D

  6. These are lovely pictures, Sarah! Yes, summer is SO alive! I love it! I have really been enjoying summerness. ;) I also love this verse of a poem:
Spring is the morning of the year,
    Summer is the noontide bright;
The autumn is the evening clear
That comes before the winter's night.
It's so true. And God designed it the very best way possible!
    Have a great weekend!
    Love, Annalee :)

    1. Thanks, Megan! :D Oh, apple trees are great! We have a lot of apple pies. ;) It's finally gotten so we can actually eat them. We should be able to eat the grapes in a few years, they are so bitter now. :) Seriously?! That is SO neat! :D I don't think I'd be able to write 50k in one month though.. :P
