Scriptophobia

Sunday, May 31, 2015

I wrote a short story for a contest, and....well, let's just say I've never liked short stories. lol! I have too much

to tell, and there is no room for plot twists! I about died hitting the "send" button. Okay, not literally.. But close!

I have a really hard time showing others my writing (especially people I don't know!) and when its even worse

when I don't really love it myself. :P But I sent it in anyways. oh well, at least I tried. Any fellow writers out

there that have trouble showing their work?

Paper beads. Never heard of them? Look them up-you may get stuck. I know I did. ;) I've been cranking

them out like crazy, and will be sure to get some photos up soon!

A few days ago we had a campfire for the first time this year. Whoo! Thankfully, I wasn't mauled by the

mosquitoes. ;) S'mores are super good, especially if you add some Nutella. It's a must. ;)

P.S. Scriptophobia actually means "fear of writing in public" but I thought it was close enough. ;)

Have you ever made jewelry?

Bracelets or necklaces?
What are your thoughts on Nutella?

  1. I'm really bad at writing short stories too. Anything shorter than a full length novel and I'm at a loss as to how to write it.

  2. I'm not the sort of person who likes to share my writing either, but how is it we can improve if we don't share our writing? As for the questions: I've never made jewelry (I usually don't wear it), and Nutella is very yummy... I'm guilty of being caught spoon scooping it. XD

    xoxo Morning

I was hooked last year and I made my mom a necklace:) I can't wait for pictures of your creations!

  5. Alright, I'll be honest, I saw the post title and my eyes crossed, my eyebrows shot up, and a huge question mark hung over my head. Okay, so maybe not literally, but that's a cool word!

My thoughts on Nutella... oh my, I'll save that for a blog post, it's too long to write here. ;)

Glad you had fun with your campfire! And s'mores are AWESOME!

  8. Great post, Sarah! It's been wonderful going on the short story journey with ya! I like all forms of writing, although short stories aren't my favorite. I enjoyed writing the one I wrote with you...I used to be in a paper bead phase and I thought it was so fun. Never had Nutella so can't help ya there. :)

LOL. It's really fun. Just kind of an extra craft I do when listening to audio books for summer reading. ;)
What. WHAT?! You've never had nutella. Dear, get your hands on some. You won't regret it, well.....maybe...soooo gooddddd.

  9. Oh, I TOTALLY know what you mean!!!! I am soooo scared of what others will think of my writing. Oddly enough, I'm more scared of what my family will think, especially my parents because they have so much experience in that area ;) In the past, I've sent in articles to KBR, and been accepted every time, so that is very encouraging to me :)
I've made bracelets and necklaces before, and a few pairs of earrings. I especially loooove working with glass and metal beads!

    1. oh yes..me too! I'd rather have friends read it, rather than family. ;) I don't know why... :D Oh, that's very neat! I think I'd rather just keep my writing to myself most of the time. lol! :D
Oh, very neat! I love making paper beads. It's good to have that to be able to take a break from editing. ;) You should try making paper beads! :D

  10. Nutella should be an illegal substance. Whenever we get a jar, I end up eating the whole thing, one spoonful at a time, over a matter of a few days. Dreadful.

    1. oh noo! It couldn't be! It's so wonderfully delicious...the best chocolate ever. oh, yes..that's partially why we don't get it very often. Have you ever seen the jumbo jars? Yikes!
