A sneak peak of my room tour!
You see, there was this sale on paint..and..lol..so I bought a whole thing of grey. ;) After loading most of my furniture out and momentarily dumping it in other rooms (bahaha), Julia and I started rolling and painting. After painting the whole room, we painted the trim with a fresh coat of white. (IT LOOKS AWESOME)

And after the trim, we moved to Julia's room and painted her trim. Then, wacko people as we are we decided to paint her bed white to match her room decor. Julia started slapping paint on it, exclaiming that she already hated it. (she often decides things before she sees the result ;) ) But I could see how adorable it would be in my head, and finally she got painting so bad that I said, "Get out! I'll finish it. Seriously. Get out!" Anyhow, I convinced her that I could finish and she headed out. Every time she came in, she groaned. I told her "get out, it'll look adorable. Trust me." And, after it dried and we put the bedding on. As I said, it looked adorable. ;P

My room smelled filled with paint fumes, much too fumy sleep in, (it was in no condition to sleep in anyhow, as my bed was in the middle of the room, and my furniture had been momentarily moved) so I loaded a cot into Ju's room. We were just about to turn out the lights when I heard a buzzing sound.
Me: "What is THAT"
Julia: "What is what?"
I look over and spot a huge bee buzzing about two feet away from me: "BEE!" I pulled the covers over my head and stated, "I am NOT going to bed until that thing is dead."
I was not risking another sting. That thing was huge. Last time as you may know my arm got all swollen, resulting in me having to get an Epipen.

Thankfully, Julia killed it with a lotion bottle. #sistersrock

what color paint is your room?
do you have an older sister to kill all the "bugs" for you?

    1. lol! Julia's always killed the bees for me (that are in inside anyways). I'm not afraid of the bugs, I just don't enjoy the bees. ;) oohh. That sounds lovely! <3

  3. My room is lime green. My mom usually kills the bugs! Or my brother! My older sister is scared of any tiny bug, flying or crawling. So I do some squishing for her I guess. I'm super excited to see the room!

  4. Hey Sarah,
I found your blog through one of my friend's blogs and I just wanted to say your blog is AMAZING!! I'm one of your followers now:D
Your bedroom looks awesome!! I love the christmas lights:) I share a bedroom with 2 sisters and it's light green with a light pink ceiling:)
I do not like bugs at all!!! And I do have 4 younger brothers, but none of them seem to like killing bugs either.......... Someone eventually just gets a vacuum cleaner, the one with the really long pole and sucks them up while standing as far away from the bug as possible:P
Oh, and I was wondering, how many siblings do you have?

    1. Hi Mikayla! Thanks for following, it's always great to have another reader! <3
I do too, I love the warmth Christmas lights give. :D: I never thought of painting a ceiling before, wouldn't it be neat to have it painted a night sky with glow in the dark star stickers?
lol! That sounds adventurous. :) Actually, I don't really like giving out personal information on the internet...sorry, Mikayla! :) I tried looking to see if you had a blog, but couldn't find a link. If you do have a blog, maybe you could send me the link so I could check it out. <3

    2. That would be so cool! Actually one of my brothers got a package of glow in the dark star stickers and stuck them to his ceiling(only the part above his bed because no one else wanted any), but they all fell off about a week later:P And my sister and I run a jewelry blog: http://thedelightfulposy.blogspot.ca, but I don't have a personal blog because I probably wouldn't be posting that much on it since I don't really like writing:P

Really? I've always enjoyed blogging..it's like an online journal. I never was any good at journaling, but blogging seems to fit me. ;)
      What hobbies do you enjoy?

    1. We were a little "insane" as Julia said, to be painting that much in one day. ;) I do too, I love how to goes with my bedding. I chose is it a more neutral color so it wouldn't stand out, because my bedding is the main piece of my room. :)

  7. Whoa, your room looks gorgeous! I love, love, love the color! Ugh, I completely understand the bee thing. I have an irrational fear of moths and can't stand it when they're near me. But bees are wayyyy worse since they can actually sting.

P.S. Happy (very) belated birthday! <3

    1. Thanks, Eve! <3 I really do enjoy it, because it's a mix of warm and cool—which I love cool for summer, and warm for fallish/winter.
Well, I've always been skittish of bees since I was stung with I was six and got sick from it. No one really believed me, until I got stung again (this time on my arm)—and got swollen. Whereas my younger sibling didn't get swollen from a sting. ;P

      aw, thanks, Eve! <3

  8. I love your room! Our room is just tan, the color it was when we bought it two years ago. I have now been inspired to paint it though! ;-) lol, it's actually opposite for us. I'm always the one to kill the bugs for my older sis!
