Did you know that headphones make music a thousand times better?
If you crank the sound up, you can practically get rid of every single distracting sound.
(just don't crank it up too loud. You don't want a headache, lol).

Why is it that with Camp NaNo you can write like nuts, and normal life it's like, "I just didn't have time.."
....
I don't get it.
I've written 4k in the last 4 days. I haven't written that much in a couple weeks because of writers block.
...how did that happen? Why can't I always do this? What's the trick?
I have no idea, but I love it. (plus it's totally fun watching the words add up so quickly).

I'm the girl who goes into the store and my first stop is the office isle.
I can't help myself.
All that paper. All those wonderful pens to try. Deliciously colorful folders to fill. Sticky notes to stick. Highlighters to test. Index cards to plot. Erasers for mistakes.
..I could go on.

are you an 'office isle girl'?
what kind of music do you love?

  1. Headphones = Love. When people are being annoying, headphones on, Ed Sheeran goes up, and BAM. Instant happy.

    1. hahahaa, it sure blocks sound out. If you listen to music without lyrics it's easy to focus on writing I find. If they have lyrics..boy, I'm lost. XD

lol! Ah, yes. I knoww. Pinterest should make it so it only works after you get all chores and school done, wouldn't that be clever? ;)

I've heard lots of bloggers talk about it, but never tried it or looked into the camp.

    1. It's just a website where you get together with other people and set a goal for yourself. Then you keep track of your writing and write all month! It's super fun. :D

Oh yeah, hymns are awesome! :D

  10. OH YES. I loooove pens and notecards. Especially pens that make a satisfying scratching noise while still giving off a lot of ink . . . *sighs happily* :P

Oh, I've wanted to participate in NaNo activities SO BAD. But I don't have any expansive plot ideas at this point. *sighs heavily* I always have characters, setting, and little inklings on the plot, but . . . no CONCRETE plot. xD Ahh, so it goes. :P

    1. ooooohhh. Those ultra thin ones? Love those. The thing that just kills me is when you accidentally smear it. :P

Do it! I thought the same thing, it really isn't that hard. You don't even have to go for 50k (I'm not!) You could try to write a short story. Or 10k, or 20k..even 100 words. You can make your goal anything you want. You should totally do it. :D They have another one in July coming up. ;)

    2. Yes, I was making plans to grope for plot ideas for July . . . but we're moving. :) Maybe on a notebook in the car. :D
