what type of writer are you? A QUIZ || me: ooohhh rollerblades

Thursday, January 19, 2017

it's rainy outside - like, deary icy but...oddly inspiring? (these pics were taken like a week ago btw)

so there are three types of writers - so I've heard. right? *goes around* *decides to make quiz* *brings it back after having to redo it bc it didn't work the first time* OKAY. HERE WE GO. *shoos you off to take the quiz*

legit - I have no idea how accurate this thing is so, take the test, and lemme know if you think it's true.

me: *finds rollerblades at thrift shop* oooohhh
julia: "hey come over here"
me: "but i've only got one rollerblade on. hold on" *puts other one on* *starts riding around in thriftshop* *laughs bc no one else in the store notices or cares*
also me: *buys rollerblades* *wants to use them in parking lot* *cough cough* but i'd totally not do that nooooo

so yes julia is currently reading my book - she is like halfway and i'm like dying rn bc she is reading "new" stuff (she had read a good amount of my book before but hasn't seen any of this now) *ducks back into closet until she's done*
*secretly hopes she dies reading it not rly but you writers and readers know what i mean*
*whaps ju* YOU'D BETTER TEAR UP AT LEAST

what were your results for my quiz? do you think it's accurate?
do you find rain inspiring, or *gasps* boring?

    1. *holds book back* YES but you must wait like omw Julia is reading it and I'm just dying over some of the scenes she is having to read lol

lol! I think most people are a mix - although some lean more towards some than others. XD

  3. I got panster, hmm, not sure how entirely accurate that is but okay. *shrug*
RAIN IS THE MOST INSPIRING THING. next to coffee and dramatic music. XD I really wish it would snow though.
I actually think that rollerblading in a parking lot would be pretty fun. XD Like, I dare you to do it sometime.

    1. *thinks* I'd have to say you prob do lean more towards pantsing than planning tho. Like, your ideas start and they you go straight to pinterest and make these huge epic pinterest boards and I'm over here scribbling on ten pieces of paper XD
DRAMATIC MUSIC AND RAIN YAS. *shrugs* *kinda likes the rain*
I've done it in like park parking lots - ooohh you dare me do you? alright - but i dare you back to do it with me *smirks*

I THINK THAT YOUR TEST IS ACCURATE BECAUSE...YEAH. I DO NOT PLOT. IT DID NOT WORK FOR NANO. I CANNOT PLOT. IT JUST ALWAYS JUST BLOWS UP IN MY FACE. *hates plotting* i mean plotting is fun but hey it never works. so, yeah.

    1. oohh a pantser. *nods*

LOL IKR LIKE *glares at ju*

ohhh whoa - I cannot imagine not plotting some but at least that works for you - it must be nice to not have to plot it lol sometimes it's good, but other times it can get pretty confusing xD

    2. hey uhm. DONT GLARE AT ME. I only can think of two people I would tear up for if you killed them. Trey and his ADORABLE LITTLE SISTER. but legit. I would just be so mad and not even cry sooooo sorry.....

    3. *glares harder*

Okay yeah fine. maybe choke up or whatever - or have trouble swallowing lol *whaps you*

  5. Ha ha! I'm a plotter! you're a plotter - basically you stick to your plot like a ferocious beast will come after you if you leave the road of plot - amazing tho. like, you don't have to worry about what's coming up in that ending of yours and, likely, you already have that title picked out. and you won't allow even that minor character to go without a name. GOOD FOR YOU now go write xD
This was an awesome quiz! The photos of you are just so pretty! I love your hair!

    1. are you going to fully plot your new novel?? that's awesome!! it's nice to know where your story is going lol XD aww, thanks girl!! <33

    2. YES! I have it all planned out! Like almost everything is written down on a timeline. I have a folder of stuff for each character and I'm starting to put together Pinterest boards. I still need to work on some minor stuff, but the basic plot is finished! I am so excited to start!! XD Gahhh

      Delete
    3. DUDE. yeah you are a plotter *coughs bc I don't plot that much* that is so awesome tho!! Are you gonna start writing it soon??

      Delete
  6. I'm a plantser!
I don't write much, but when I do, that probably fits well... I lean more towards plotter, I think, but my method is kind of....
    :Plot:
    :Fill in plot:
    :Fill in plot more:
:Plot is just becoming story, probably time to find names and just insert them:
    ... haha!
So, I think I am a mix that pulls more heavily on plotting :).

    1. yeah - same tho. I think I plot as a I go along bc SO MANY things change during writing so then I lose all that work. I think it just works to have a basic plot line all the way through and then add plot and ideas when I feel like I need it - anyways, that's my technique that works for me ;)

  7. Good post! I really liked those photos. You're so cute!! *squeals* ;)

  8. lol I am a plantser through and THROUGH. #proudofit
I mean though...maybe not. Because it can be a bad thing too XD LIKE WHEN I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON AND THE PLOT AND CHARACTERS ARE GOING CRAZY. Quite frustrating.

Haha, go you! I can't even roller blade..which is kind of funny because people say if you can roller blade ice skating is a breeze. I CANNOT ROLLER BLADE. AT ALL.

    ReplyDelete

    1. SAAMMEEE. I'm a total plantser XP lol yeah I can be frustrating sometimes but most of the time I just get my notebook out and start brainstorming again during writing. Then I have a ton of fresh ideas.

rly??! I couldn't rollerblade before but I dunno it's rly fun once you get a hang of it - YOU CAN DO IT. and yes, knowing how to rollerblade helps a ton if you want to know how to skate *nodnod*

  9. I'm a panster.... I can disagree... but agree. *chuckles* I am both spontaneous/crazy and organized in my writing. I have a beginning and an ending in most scenarios -- it's just the middle I struggle with. :D

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lol!! sounds nice to be able to be spontaneous but still have an idea where you are going lol. Ugh. rly?? Beginnings are so hard like ugh. I like middles a lot and also leading up to the ending - ending isn't THAT bad for me I suppose XP

  10. I LOVE RAIN! sorry, it's just the BEST thing ever tho!
Actually, I only journal. I could never actually write a book, I've tried. I don't even know what a "plot" is. :( *hides from possible weird glance like "you don't know nothing"*
    Love these shots! <3

    1. me too - i just wish there was less mud involved - I do like the fog afterwards that usually comes tho xD

Ooooohhh. I journal some - mostly a life recording of sorts. Plot is like the plan for your story basically - just so you know where you are going - aww. don't feel bad about it - it was a while before I learned the "writers lingo" XP

      Aww thanks, Paige!

      Delete
    2. YES YES YES THE FOG! we have had such thick fog the last couple weeks, so I'm thinking on doing a post about it! =D
Yeah. Ooh, okay. Awe thanks! Yeah, when I was like 10, I tried to write a book. It actually got kinda long, and was going good, but I came to a complete dead end. I've thought about starting over with more of a plan (or "plot") but haven't yet. Idk if I ever really will lol! How many books (or novels, or whatever you writers want to call them! ) have you wrote, and when did you start writing? :)

    3. Okay, I just took the quiz out of curiosity, and I guess I'm a panster! :l
(And btw,if you want you can email me! =D)

    4. aww, you should totally pick up writing again! I might recommend starting something fresh tho - it's always fun to play with new ideas XD Well, I've written two books but rly this is my first completed one. I plan on starting another soon tho - oh, I started a few years ago :D
but yes, you should totally pick up writing again. :D aww, that's so sweet of you but I just rly don't have time rn to spend more time online like ugh school rn lol. sorry about that!

    5. Yeah maybe, things are always just SO busy..it never really stops being busy ya know?
Haha that's fine! School has kept me busy a lot. I teach my younger brother, and help all the others when they need, then trying to do my school like... help! :l

  13. Rain is very inspiring-- it's soothing but every once in awhile it brings out my inner teenage angst and makes me write stories like the one up on my blog.

I'm a plantser, which is pretty accurate! If I have no idea as to how a character generally gets from point A to B then I panicked but if I write down a well-thought out page by page guide called How My Character Walks to This Next Plot Point, then it'd feel super restraining.

ssaaammmeee. I like it pretty well tho - at least I get a basic plot line and ideas - but still leaves room to roam. aka those moments plot ideas come along and you are like, "welp. let's go with this" xD
