WHAT IM UP TO september 2018 edition

Saturday, September 29, 2018

I find it so incredibly strange that, suddenly, its fall. I think sometimes change is the same way. sometimes, we know when its happening, and other times, we don't even realize the change happened until we look back and go "wow. things were so different then" its an interesting feeling
moments:
practicing parallel parking in the schoot lot and a bunch of 9 and 10 yr old boys (they were playing football across the lot) were watching me park and one kid call out "you're doing rly good!!" like :'''')
mom "the fridge breathes like Darth Vader"

when "exact" turns to "escargot" with spellcheck like wow and I sophisticated or what
julia-ism:
*crickets outside* "can i just kill all bugs"

"hey look a shooting star!!" me: hey ju that was a lightning bug
ju: "that deer runs like a deer. I mean a dog. runs like a dog."

"its been a very long day already" julia at 11:17 am

"I haven't had ice cream in forever. like, THREE DAYS"
what i'm up to:
tubing. for the last warm weekend we got together with a bunch of friends and hopped on a bus to be brought up the river (and on this bus everyone who ever enters has to sign their name on the inside with a sharpie which was SO COOL. I put mine on the window lol) it was a good farewell to summer trip w/ lots of splashing and dunking which i mostly escaped bahaaha :'''')
outlining. my novel has been going rly well but um lol how is nano in a month ????????????????? I'm PRETTY sure I'm doing it ??
driving. in the rain yup
nerf event. this was sooo much fun we all had a blast and man, its crazy how much my library friend group has grown. its nice to know so many people by name
reading. many many many books but I still can't keep up with all the ones I've been ordering -_-
watching. amazing sunsets and dick van dyke lol
digging. sweet potatoes!! now we need to make a sweet potato casserole bc yuuuss
baking. a lot. and Julia and i sort of realized how much food pics we post on here and Insta like lolol sorry you guys
deleting. many pics and taking too many more ugghhh guys help I take too many pics xD
rollerblading. ah haha. if I ever try to do the limbo on blades again – stop me – thank uuu [oh!! it was also rly cool bc the girl there let me hook up my phone and play my whole playlist oh yes]

  2. Dude I want to go to your roller skating rink! We have to pay to pick music :P I am so pumped for nano! Though I'm still trying to find the main plot of my novel (lol. that's kind of important, eh?) And I can't wait to put up my hammock and not be sweaty while chilling in it. I love all the sweaters of fall :)

  5. Smiling over here about your parallel parking compliment. ;) Today Chae and I and a friend were trying to pull into an ice-cream shop parking lot and there were like seven 10-yr-old boys right in the way of the pull in wrestling around. Bizarre. :S So your story reminded me of that. :)
YES, SO excited that it's fall!! And hey, girl, you've got a birthday just around the corner, too. ;)

    1. haha wasn't it so sweet?? ahh yeah boys usually like that, which is why it was so sweet for one of them to say something. I've actually had another girl and her mom stop me while they were practicing her parking to encourage me, and some other lady call across the walmart parking lot after I pulled in to compliment me XD

ahhh! I knooww. its crazy how soon its coming like what even how is it October already??

  7. I'm technically going to do Nano, but I know I will be so unprepared for it and I will only pay half attention to it cuz I'm doing a bookish themed "blogoween" event next month with some other bloggers, and then in December I will probably do Blogmas too, so yeah I will probably totally fail Nano cuz I'll be busy getting ready for those. XD

  8. I don't think I've gone three days without eating ice-cream for a while now. I have this tub of coffee ice-cream in the fridge, and it's so so good. Ah haha, your parallel parking story! Your library nerf event sounds amazing. I can't imagine doing the limbo on rollerskates, I can't even rollerskate in general. Oh my goodness, the bread you baked looks DELICIOUS- wait, I'm assuming you made it, is that right?

  11. Ah, I loved this post. :D Your pictures are so beautiful! (And honestly food pictures are some of my favourite, haha. xD)

Wow, parallel parking! That's so nice that the kid said that - that'd definitely make me feel better, haha. I haven't tried parallel parking yet but it looks really scary. *gulp* I'm going to be getting proper driving lessons in a couple week's time (it's compulsory) so that's a little bit nerve-wracking. But I've got around 75 hours up now! :D (Parking is probably my biggest struggle though.)

Ohh, I always thought tubing sounds really fun! Cool. :D
I haven't done rollerblading in ssooo long. There isn't any pavement to do it on where I live. :P

    I loved your post. <3
