signs of spring

I believe spring it starting to arrive...it's still cold, but I found a green plant the other day, green! My sisters and I went outside to take a photoshoot. :D We celebrated St. Patricks day a couple days ago a little late, and mixed it with my younger brothers birthday. We played Banagrams a lot. If you haven't played it it's basically like scrabble but you have your own game and can change words, then who ever uses up their letters first wins. It's really fun!

I've been writing...a lot. I also got some really great writing books from the library - it's always nice to learn a few more techniques. :D So far I have..10,533 words. I'm hoping to make it a novella..though,40,000 words is a lot, so I don't think I'll make it to a novel. ;) I would like to make a series, so we'll see what happens. :D
Are there any plants popping up where you live?
                                                                                                       Have you ever played Banagrams?

    1. It's a lot like scrabble, but MUCH faster, so you don't have to wait for each other to take their turns! :D aw, thanks Bonnie! That means so much to me!

  4. St. Patrick's Day late is better than not celebrating it at all, huh? :D Plants aren't popping near where I live. Usually our springs up here are wet and muddy. As for novels and novellas; coming from a person who had written a novel and many novellas, I know for certain this: the length of the book doesn't matter. As long there's a great story inside, you've got something special right there. If you really want to push it to novel but think it's overwhelming, look at what you've already done! You're already at 10,000 words; you can totally make it to 50k. I'll cheer you on! Go, Sarah!

    xoxo Morning

  8. It WAS warm last week, but it's a bit cooler now. We even had snow again. But it's pretty neat - I really like to see the snow melt and the streams on the roads, etc. What's your favorite part about spring?

    1. It's been pretty cold here still.. :P Oh yikes, as long as it's not too much snow. ;) Hm, I think the flowers, green, and hearing birds chirping in the early morning! How about you?

    2. It's really pretty good now. Basically no snow in the city, although there's still some in the country. My favorite part is probably walking along and having the roads dry in some spaces, but also wet from melting snow. And the fresh air. And the sunshine. :) How's spring coming along where you live?

    3. I know! All the snow is GONE! :D I love the fresh air..It's been raining a lot, so now the grass is GREEN! :D I'm so happy, can you tell? ;) Any green grass where you live? There are some buds on the trees..mud.. :P And lightning storms! Ah, spring is here!

  9. Haha! "A green plant...GREEN!" =D Haha, you made me laugh. It is very green down here; you should move to the amazing South! ;D But March cannot decide what it wants to be. Saturday we were playing soccer and got SUNBURNED and ate ICE CREAM OUTSIDE to cool down. Sunday was overcast, but not cold or rainy. Monday we had to turn the furnace back on; Tuesday was sunny and I wore shorts again, and today (Wednesday) it rained. WHAAAAA??? So basically I'm a whole years worth of weather in one week! haha

We don't have Banagrams, but we have Apple Scrabble, which is totsally the same thing. ;D

    Love ya, Sarah!

    1. *gasp* Please, don't tempt me. I shall never abandon the great North, it may not be so great in the winter, but at least I'm not boiling in the summer! I'm sure I'd boil, I don't know how you take it! ;) hahaa. Wait, you got sunburned, ate ice cream without shivering, and it RAINED?! It rained the other day for us, but this cold wind. ah! haha, well I hope it decided to make up its mind soon, please decide on warm and sunny! ;)

Oh fun! I've never heard of that game before.. :) aw, Jess you sure know how to make someone smile, love ya too! :D

  10. One of my favorite things to see during the first signs of spring is the purple common henbit. I don't know if you're familiar with it, but it fills many a field here and while it's considered a weed, it is really beautiful in the springtime.

Apart from dandelions, I haven't seen many other wildflowers appear yet. I'm praying for more rain, because farmers need rain and so do wildflowers.

There are also a lot of wheat fields in our area which are looking GORGEOUS right now. I just want to run barefoot through one (preferably one without cows). :)

By the way, I love all of your pictures. The fifth one of the old house and the trees is especially beautiful. The golden sunlight against the old architecture creates so much drama.

    God bless!

    1. We actually do have those, though I never knew the name of them! ;) If weeds are going to be there, they can at least look pretty! :) We don't have dandelions yet, nor any green grass. I'm really excited for green leaves, and sunshine. No more snow! :) I love running through fields, though lately the wind has been SO cold! :P

Thank you so much! I love taking photos of old barns and scenery, I can't wait for more flowers and other things to take photos of other than snow covered objects.. ;)

      Thank you so much!

  11. That's so neat that you celebrated St. Patrick's Day with your brothers birthday too.... I didn't do much, though, I accidentally (or coincidentally?) wore green that day without even realizing it :P Oh well, that's so neat too that you're writing. I was in the midst of a really big writer's block, but I think I got over it now....

    1. Well..St.Patricks day was late, and my brothers birthday was early...soo..it all worked out! St. Patricks day is basically a good dinner. ;) I was reading Jesus Freaks, and it was saying how holidays like Easter, St. Patricks day, ect. were made into "fun" holidays so people would forget about Christ..isn't that so sad? Oh haha, I did too!

Are you doing Camp NaNo? If so, do you have an account? Mine is: http://campnanowrimo.org/campers/sarahmargaret-172118
Glad you got over it! :) Have a lovely day!
