abandoned onion factory || brownies

Sunday, January 31, 2016

Every once in a while Bree will call me and ask if I will come take some photos with her. Sometimes we can drag Julia along, lol, and this time we were able to. We went out back where the old barn, old onion factory, and old silos are. It's pretty dangerous to go in the buildings, so we usually use them as our background shots. Pretty cool looking, huh? The whole time passing around the camera I'm like, "AH! I see a photo!" ;)

I made some brownies today. We have this really awesome recipe that doesn't take any butter, just oil...and tastes SUPER good. XD Like, YUM. :D Do you have any favorite recipes?

Do you ever have this?:
It's a problem at night when you go in your room, turn your lights on, pull your shades, pick up your room, get in your pajamas...then sit down and think to yourself, "what should I do tonight?" when you know very well you should be writing.
But...reading, or painting and listening to an audio book is just too tempting. One of those usually wins over then you keep complaining at how you should be writing, but don't....*ahem*
Yeah, I'm totally not one of those people...not...

aren't old buildings the coolest?
do you ever feel like you have "too many hobbies?"

  6. Those pictures are so neat! (But what exactly is an onion factory? Is that, like, where they make onions? I thought onions grew...) ;-P

BROWNIES! Brownies are always fun. Especially when you make them at 9 @ night. (GASP. I just used the @ key.) I did that once and then wrote it into the story I was working on at the time. ;-)

    1. lol! You know, it's strange, but I never really thought of that before. I suppose it was a place where they processed them before selling. I really don't know. lol!

oh, yes. :D LOL. Well, I've made them later..lol.. ;) Isn't it awesome when you can include real life things in your books? XD

  7. I just had to see the word "brownies" and I was drooling. XD
Speaking of which, those brownies sound AMAZING! I'm not sure what my favorite recipe is...usually I just make desserts out of a box...but tonight my mom is trying a new porkchop recipe with Parmesan cheese mixed in...oooh, they smell so good. If they turn out OK, that recipe might just become my favorite. :)
And yeah, I SO have that problem. ;) Like, every night.

    1. lol! :D I loveee brownies. (they are so easy and don't make many dishes either lol). We usually make homemade ones, but sometimes we'll get a boxed cake or something. :D OH YUM. :D
lol! Have you tried solving it? ;)

  9. Cool pictures. Do you like your brownies chewy or crunchy or both? I prefer chewy. =D

    1. ohhh. That's hard. I think chewy mostly. I don't like.."oily" or "wet" ones. More chewy/crunchy I suppose. ;) :D Have you ever tried cookie bars? Those are SUPER. I love the brownies tho, because they only use oil and not butter. ;)
