*throws nano prep out window* || i'm a nano rebel

i think caramel apples are the hardest things to eat--but the best thing to eat around your besties (a.k.a. sis's) and mumble indecipherable things after you can't open your mouth 'cuz it's stuck in caramel

do you pronounce caramel like: "car-a-mel," or, "car-mel?" we had this whole debate on how you should pronounce it and so...I googled it and the percentages are actually pretty even on how people pronounce it. xD

trying to find the end of my book

I'm actually sort of scared to write the ending of this book (but kinda excited too) BTW I HAVE JUST NAMED MY NOVEL. I HAVE A TITLE. it's probably gonna be a trilogy--keep this in mind. okay, okay, ready for it?

EEEEEEPPPPPPP. ISN'T THAT JUST THE COOLEST TITLE. Hannah, from The Relentless Daydreamer, kindly gave it to me after I fell on my knees and complained I had no title for this novel.

I greatly wish I could finish a novel and plot a new one before nano but I AIN'T THAT GOOD. no way. like, that would in insanity. So I'm gonna be a cheater, as I explained in my last post, and not write a new book. That's called being a NaNo Rebel, right?? *grin*

*looks at book ideas in closet that I actually have for once*
*whimpers*
*shuts closet door*
*slumps in chair*

whyyyyy nowww

how do you pronounce caramel?
do you have problems naming your books?

  1. For what it's worth, I pronounce caramel "care-a-mol."

Yeah, I'm kind of rebelling against the nano rules, because I'm rewriting and I've written a different scene already. We'll see how it goes.

I only have one book giving me fits about the name right now. I reworked what theme I was going for for each of the books in the series, and this one is the only one that I can't figure out how to match with the others.

    Good luck with NaNoWriMo!

    1. ah, yes. I think I probably say "cara-mel." xD

ah, yes. I've re-written a book for nano before. Rewrites are hard, but good. You are seriously left with a completely different book.

I've named this book before, but same with you, I ended up changing some stuff so I had to find a new name. Hope you find a new title, and good luck to you too! :D

  2. I'M SO HAPPY YOU LOVE IT.

For me, coming up with titles is either effortless or impossible, there is no inbetween, but somehow coming up with titles for other people is easier, ;P ;P

Also,I pronounce it 'car-mel' pronouncing it differently just sounds weird,

lol--for me they can probably be labeled impossible. xP I guess I did come up with yours so maybe it is easier?...

I pronounce it the same--I don't think it sounds too weird any way..actually, I had to say it aloud to check to see how I really pronounce it. hahaha xD

  3. car-a-mel, I would not know what someone is saying if they did not pronounce the a, I suspect most Aussies would agree. I do like short one word titles, very nice.

For my NaNo novel I'm writing the third book in a series. It's called "The Ski Trip". So idk if that's being a rebel or not. Probably not. :P

Your book title is awesome!! Love it! :D

Oh, awesome!! How many books will your series have? I think you are considered a rebel if you are writing a ton of short stories, poems, not starting a new book, rewrites or editing I believe. not sure about editing, but yeah. xD

      thanks, Lydia!! <333

  10. I use two syllables to pronounce car-mel. And actually, I find titles come to me pretty easily. It's the SUMMARIES that mess me up. How can I be expected to squish my 70,000 word novel into one measly paragraph???? HOW???

    1. ughhh, titles are so hard. Summaries are actually really fun..maybe it's because I enjoy reading them?? lol but yes I know. ITS SO HARD TO FIT IT ALL IN A PARAGRAPH like, ugh. I can work it tho--it's just the titles that I'm like, "ohhh, I'll just do that laterrr." xD

  11. Ohhh I love the name of your novel! I was literally listening to a song by this dude called Oblivion...he was a tango composer from Argentina, not like that has anything to do with your book, but thats how my brain works XD
Your book sounds so amazing! Keep up the good work!:)

  12. My mama and I say "Car-mel", unless I'm pronouncing it "Car-a-mel" for lighthearted emphases- I also pronouce scissors "Skiz-ers" for the same reason, so I don't consider that to count ;). My sister and Dad say it "Car-a-mel" always, though, and my sister and Mom have had many discussions on it... haha! And now I want a Caramel apple, thanks. xD
Oh. And. DOOOOOOORRRRRIIIIII!!!!!! And my sister just told me that she thinks I'm Destiny when she saw her, which made me really warm and fuzzy inside :D.

I KNNOOWWW. I loved Finding Dory so much--I'm glad they didn't change the editing a ton. I can't wait until it comes out on dvd--sometime next month I believe. xD

  13. For me, caramel's pronunciation comes off both ways, it just really depends on whatever comes into my mind first. AND AHHHHH REBELLING IS SO FUN! I've actually pants-ed out novels before, too. I'm doing NaNo this year except I'm rebelling in a different way. You'll just have to see tomorrow. Time to stray from tradition because pfftt, we got this. *hair flips over shoulder on both sides*
