Christmas time is here again!

Hello Everyone,
I think I am just realizing that tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Wow! It happened so fast! Today we went to the library. We also did some last minute shopping (which turned out to be mostly snacks). ;)
I think that it is more fun to slowly eat some of the Christmas goodies than just eating it all on Christmas day! I like sitting around watching "The Nativity Story", eating snacks, snuggling, and trying to get a seat next to Mom or Dad. ;) It is all fun!

On Christmas Eve we will move the tree into our living room and decorate it will all the ornaments! That's always a lot of fun. Have you ever had peppermint bark? It is sooooooo delicious! Of course anything with chocolate has to be delicious! I just love it! It is something that we have been making for Christmas for a few years now, after we found the recipe! Here's the recipe for it. It melts in your mouth!

          Holiday peppermint bark (32 servings)
1 (12 ounce) package of white chocolate chips
1 package chocolate chips
1-2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon peppermint oil

24 hard peppermint candies

Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt chocolate chips in microwave for 1 minute. Spread chocolate on pan and chill in fridge, Pulse peppermints in food processor (leave some large pieces, ) microwave white chocolate with 1-2 Tablespoons vegetable oil, add 1/2 teaspoon peppermint flavoring, candies and oil to white chocolate. Make sure that the chocolate layer is really cold before adding white chocolate. Let it stand 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces. Store in container, and you have to sneak a piece or two. ;)

It's a great Christmas treat! We have already made ours for Christmas and we will eat part of it as a snack on Christmas Eve too! :)
I am eating peppermint bark as I type this! Haha! It's so good!

What kind of treats do you make for Christmas?

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

In Christ,

Snow, snow, and more SNOW!

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Hello everyone,
I was beginning to worry that there wasn't going to be any snow for Christmas! But, for the past few days we have just been dumped on snow! It snows almost all day long. My brothers made a snow fort the other day. They love snow. :) Right now as I speak snow is coming down! I can't believe that Christmas is only in 13 days! This year Christmas doesn't seem real to me for some reason. It feels like a dream. Before I know it Christmas is going to be here. :) Today, me and my older sister cross-stitched together. I have to say, I like sewing and crocheting much more! ;) But, I still like to cross-stitch. I think cross-stitching is much more relaxing. :)

17 days until Christmas!!!

Sunday, December 8, 2013

Hello everyone!

Christmas is just sneaking up on us isn't it? Its only 17 days until Christmas!!! It seems to do that, except for when your younger. When your younger Christmas seems to take much longer to get here! ;) This year has just flown by. I can't believe it is almost... 2014!!! I love it when the Christmas music is on! A few days ago my siblings and we made ornaments for our tree! We also did out Christmas shopping! My favorite parts of Christmas are decorating the tree with my family on Christmas Eve, watching the Nativity story and eating snacks, spending time with Mom and Dad while wrapping gifts, making and decorating Christmas cookies! I love Christmas! Whats your favorite part of Christmas?

Welcome to Trusting in the Lord!
