lost in the woods

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

By the name of this title you may have thought I got lost in the woods, well no, I just thought it was a neat title. lol. Oh, and that bird is not fake though it does look like it..

My sister and I had an awesome time tossing (not literally) my camera around. I admit, the photos she took of me turned out better than hers. lol. I'm working on it, the camera just gets so shaky! :P Oh yeah, and I made that necklace...complete DIY. If there is anything that can be made into a craft..I'll probably make it.

We had such a fun time going on a hike, though my sister and I stopped time to time resulting in racing to catch up. lol.

So, I'm taking a break from anything to do with my writing, and then comes editing...which I'm pretty excited about...I mean, who doesn't like improving things?... :)

Do you like taking hikes?

Writing

unbelievably real

I'm ready to scream.
I'm ready to cry.
I'm ready to laugh out loud.
I'm ready to do a number of things, mostly, I'm excited to tell you all......

I FINISHED CAMP NANO!

I met my goal! I finished early, and I am ready to explode.

I got to 30,903 words. I'm extremely happy for my first time at camp..
I started the month with 12,000 words, and wrote 18,903 this month.
I started this novella in February, and it has taken me three months.
Well, I've been writing not stop for the past few hours...so I think I'll go take a break now..maybe a few weeks. Then comes editing. yay.
Oh yeah, and here is my certificate to prove it. lol.

candy dots || panicking

Thursday, April 23, 2015

Long time no post! Time has simply gotten away from me.. :P Okay, I'll do better in May, I have an excuse, I'm writing a novella, right? ;) So far....ready for it? I've written 27.268 words! So close to my goal of 30,000. Camp NaNo ends in one week, so, yeah, I'm not panicking..noooo..

Okay, I'm panicking.

Just a little. lol. It may not seem a lot to some of you awesome people who write over 50,000 word novels-but it feels great to me! ;) Next step?....editing.
Yeah..from what I've heard-it's a no likey. But, we'll see, for some reason I feel really great about getting things done and watching it turn into something great.
Please like editing, please. *crosses fingers*

I've been reading Stepping Heavenward-a really great book! Oh yeah, and I got this new paper bead roller...and have been going crazy..it's a little addicting. lol. You'll probably see a post on that soon. :) Seriously, they are SO fun to make. I've always liked making things like that. *sigh* I get a little stuck into it. Don't believe me? I made 130 beads in one day. Yeah. Believe me now?

I also made candy dots...something I've always wanted to try. Watermelon kool-aid and lemon. They tasted super, I just had a little trouble piping out the last ones. They tasted really great though!

Well, I simply must to now. I probably should write some more...back to it! Ta ta, all!

Everyday life

at the museum || 8k to go

Thursday, April 16, 2015

A couple weeks ago we went to a museum and had a marvelous time. I only wish I could have taken some pictures of the planetarium for you all! It was simply amazing. I have to say..the printing press is absolutely amazing! Let's go back to using those, people! A quarter teaspoon of ink will last the whole day of printing thousands of sheets! They showed us how it was done, even though it did take a while to set the text..it just looks so cool!

I just reached 21,964 words on my story-only 8k or so to go! I must say, it will be sad to see my characters go, my story end, and to leave it all. Although, that's where a new story begins, doesn't it? So, after I finish writing I hope to start editing pretty soon after that. After a break of course. :) I am excited to finish though, it will be the first novella I have ever completed! I've started two others in the past, but they just never seemed to work for me. So I forced myself through this one. lol. I've enjoyed it though. I've had those bad days where you can barely get those words on the page and I've had those good days, where I write ahead. It all evens out though. I'm %75 done, actually a little ahead, which I just discovered last night. ;) So, back to writing, all!

What is the largest amount of words you have written on one story?
Do you like going to museums?

Fog

Friday, April 10, 2015

There is something so mysterious and beautiful about fog. I've always wanted to stand in the middle of fog, but of course, it never seems possible. ;)

I did succeed in taking a photo of raindrops..I love rain. It's so beautiful, I love the sound of it pounding on the windows, watching rain splash into puddles...

I made it to 19,487 words on my novella!!!! I'm SO excited! Only about 10,000 more to go! :)

Have you ever wanted to stand in fog?
Do you like the sound of rain?

A few days it was about 60 degrees or so....seriously, amazing weather..there was a nice breeze and yes, I went barefoot-with my camera of course. :)

I'm loving Camp NaNo, I did more than double that I was supposed to today..so I could take Easter off! I'm over 16,000 words, basically halfway to total goal! I'm extremely excited to watch those words add up. It just gives me a feeling of satisfaction. :)

Life is crazy. With school, writing, chores, blogging, and life, it's a lot. I'm really enjoying it though, I love having the feeling at the end of the day that I accomplished something and waking up the next morning thinking of the hours to come filled with who knows what. :)

Happy (belated) Easter to you all!
