birthday || ball of fire

Monday, November 23, 2015

Today I turned a year older. This year went by quite fast..a little too fast in my mind. ;) For my birthday, Ju, gave me one of those hugeee nutella jars. *drool* lol. And Bree gave me the most ADORABLE necklace with a watch in it. It's soo cute. :D I just have to figure out how to change the time...or live with it two hours behind. bahahaa. I also got the cutest canvas decor for my room with a Bible verse on and adorableee blue chevron bedding from my parents (that I will be showing you all hopefully soon). And all those cute drawings and cards from my siblings, seriously, I got so many.. <3 <3
My sisters and I got a small Christmas tree for our lounge area in our basement. We we decided to go with the silver/glitter theme, (I lovee simple and glitter *nods*) We got a variety of different sizes bulbs, white lights and this..bead Anyhow, it turned out super adorable. I mean, come on, you can't get more festive than having your own Christmas tree!

Looking out the window, one of my siblings shouts to look out at the sun.
Me looking out window: "looks like a ball of fire."
Julia: "You should title your blog post that."
Me: "Okay, I'll tell them that my strange sister wanted me to name is that."

Oh, and don't tell your family not to sing the birthday song to you. Because they will just hum it. ;P

when is your birthday?
do you know how to change the time on a a "stopwatch?"

the grinch || traitors in the coffee shop

Sunday, November 15, 2015

I felt a bit like a traitor when I walked into a coffee shop with my Arby's shake while hanging out with some friends..and nooo, I didn't order anything. I just continued to slurp on my Arby's chocolate shake. lol. Quite awkward. ;)

I had an excellent time yesterday at Goodwill. As you see above, I found all those adorable things at Goodwill. :D I found the most adorable leather backpack. I mean, how can you go wrong with that?! BTW I'll hopefully I'll be getting that room tour up in a week or so. :D

Oh..and did REALLY snow a few days ago.
*snow starts*
*me tramps upstairs to snatch my coat and pull on boots*
*me walks down stairs short of breath*
*me grabs camera, discovers camera card is missing*
*remembers my sista had it in her computer andddd she took it to school with her*
*me looks helplessly at snow, handling my camera with no card*
*slumps down at notebook and continues math*

And that is the story of how you don't have any photos of the first snow. It all melted BTW. I'm in the mood for a wee bit of snow, and lotsss of Christmas music. Sadly, it's supposed to warm up and rain for the next few days. *shakes fist* I don't want rain! :P

In the background of my life at the moment of me writing this post:
Julia: "Hey dad, turn on the's your song!"
*Dad turns on radio*
*the 'Grinch' song comes on.*
Oh, my family.

do you ever feel like a "traitor?"
does the holidays put you in the mood to change up your room?

random sisterly conversations || frost, or snow?

Monday, November 9, 2015

Me most years: nooo, Christmas is so soon? That means—gifts to get, decorations to accomplish, a new year..GAH! Nooo Christmas music yet, please! I forbid it!

Me this year: *Listening to people complain about Christmas music being out already.* Eh, *shrugs* whatever, I'll just enjoy myself this year and listen to it like crazy. (that is what I have been doing BTW)

Me in the middle of a conversation with Julia: "Did it snow last night? Or was that just frost?...."
Julia: "What are you talking about?!"
Me: "You know—the whole ground was covered this morning. Didn't you hear?"
Julia: "Um, sure, yeah,—you probably just dreamed it."

No, Julia. I did not dream it. lol! It was probably frost, though, there is a chance of snow this Friday. yikes! Oh, and yes, Julia and I often have random conversations such at this...such strange people we are. *nods*

Lately, my days are filled with school, reading (just finished another book!), not writing... :P, chores and the such, figuring out bedroom decor, ect., ect., ect.—oh, if you all are interested in seeing a "tour" of my room, just comment and let me know! :)

do you have have random sibling conversations?
are you interested in seeing a tour of my room?

the kid in me || checking for christmas music

Thursday, November 5, 2015

Hey all! We celebrated my sis's fourth birthday yesterday..we all headed over to a orchard that we usually go to each year. We discovered they took out the old fire truck they had and replaced it with a wooden, huge, ship. Talk about neat? And the kid in me came out. lol. It had a whole upper deck, lower deck, ect., and the upper deck was really high up. Imagine having one of those in your yard? F-U-N

Bree and I wandered across the field to a forest that is close to out house. It was simple gorgeous. We took photos of each other, and I'm finally satisfied with now mine turned out. lol. I got a book called The best hair book ever by Faithgirlz. I really enjoyed trying out a new technique to drying your hair. Boy, it saved me from frizz. Though I have rather straight hair—if I blow dry it..BOOM, and if I don't—total flatness. So, this got me in between. I put my review up on Barnes and Nobles if you interested. :)

To be honest, I am excited for Christmas this year. Yeah, yeah, I know. But hey, I just love the coziness of it all....and, I admit. I may have been checking the radio stations to see if Christmas music is on yet. :P I just love crocheting/reading/writing in my room with Christmas music on, and my Christmas lights, and snuggling in my softttt blanket. lol. I've always been one for chocolate and coziness.

does the "kid in you" come out often? lol!
do you check the radio stations for Christmas music? Come on, admit it. ;)
