[we went camping the other weekend] [total cars we jumped during the weekend: 3] [fishing aka sat around and laughed so hard about idek what which might be why we didn't catch anything oops] [we did catch weeds "good for vegetarians" my dad said"] [picked flowers and pressed them and listened to music as we journaled] [slept in the back of julias car. we put the seats and sleeping bags down and it was actually rly cozy lol who knew] [kinda like iced coffee now what is the world coming to] [dad told us stories around the campfire about when he was a kid] [i dropped my waffle on the ground after it was perfectly toasted i may need therapy] [jk jk] [bike riding across the dam and swam in the lake] [biking back uphill was harder lol] [the power was out in the whole park ha ahaha] [10:36 pm it came back on and you could hear everyone in the whole camp cheering. good feels]
Ahh the lovely joys of camping. <3 I've been so busy this summer I haven't been able to camp, but I LOVE camping. This looks like such a fun experience. <3

ReplyDeleteI haven't gone this year, but every thanksgiving my family camps in the woods on our property... it's lots of fun! Sounds like you had a good time (except dropping your waffle!) :D
I really like how you tape flowers in your book, do you have to dry them first so they don't bleed on the other page, or do they seem to work fresh??

Deleteaw yeah! well, sometimes I'll press a ton in an old book I don't care about. but with this one, I just pasted it in. so far I haven't had any leaking problems! I suppose it would depend on the thickness on the page?? I'd recommend testing it out on something first <3

Deletewow these pictures are SO gorgeous! :D This post reminds me a lot of our own camping trip. I went camping in June and I got to make a hideout in the back of the suburban and sleep in there and it was so fun! :) The pictures of your campsite even look a lot like ours did!

SAD. its super awesome, you could just do like a one day thing. throw some stuff in a cooler, sleep in the back of a car with the seats down if you don't have a tent, bring bug spray (lol) and warm clothes and pay like $15 and find somewhere localish to stay. its good to do for your first couple times of camping for sure xx
